Perfectly Pink

Pink is such a youthful, fun and exciting colour, it’s a colour of happiness. I’ll admit that I really do love the colour pink, it’s so girly and pretty. But… I did not realise I had so many pink things. So, I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite pink products (they’re either pink in colour or the packaging is pink).

There is quite a bit of writing, so just look at the product number (above) and read what you’re interested in (below).

Just a reminder that the writing in Italics is what the company has stated about their products and the rest of the writing is my personal opinion...

1.      Urban Rituelle Turkish Rose & Vanilla Perfume Oil.An enchanting blend of sugar dusted rosebuds, delicately infused with a drizzle of vanilla, blooms of jasmine and just a hint of powdery musk”.

I received this as a gift from a good friend and I’m so glad she picked it out for me. It smells delicious, so sweet, almost like Turkish delight. The scent lingers up until lunchtime and because the bottle is a purse worthy size, you can take it anywhere and reapply. It has become one of my favourite scents. Take a look at their website, they have a whole collection of scented products.

2.      Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm Stain in 025 Sweetheart Valentine. It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lip stain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour”.

I love this lipstick, it’s the perfect shade of hot pink. It glides smoothly onto lips, is moisturizing like a lip balm and delivers a soft and shiny look which is not ‘sticky’. It has a buttery moisturizing feel and glossy finish for nearly 2 hours and then it settles to a stain. I would say it’s rather pigmented and buildable and the stain colour lasts for 6+ hours! I also just have to mention its scent- peppermint, however it fades after a while.

3.       China Glaze Sugar High Nail polish. This was from the China Glaze spring 2010 ‘Up and Away’ collection. It’s a perfect pop of colour for the summer time.  A bright bubble gum pink but with a hint of coral. The consistency is a little thick, however, it is easy to apply. You’ll get a crème finish with a glossy shine. I only needed to apply 2 coats to get an opaque and smooth finish.

Flash & Natural Light

4.      Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lip Gloss in ‘Polka’. A super glossy, nourishing and long- lasting lip gloss with an injection of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants”.

I purchased this because I was drawn to the colour- a super bright pink! It has a long/thin doe foot applicator for easy application. It feels moisturising on the lips but it also feels slightly sticky. It has a creamy formula with a super glossy finish but with no shimmer/glitter. This shade is rather pigmented, buildable and lasts about an hour to an hour and a half.

5.      Models Prefer Correctors Pen. This pen is used to remove any makeup mistakes. I can be clumsy when I use mascara and eyeliner, it can smudge, which is super annoying BUT this is where my corrector pen comes in handy. This pen is infused with makeup remover and does a great job at removing little smudges. It has a pointy soft tip applicator which makes using it easy and precise.

6.      Models Prefer Eye Brightener. “Gently conceals imperfections while the light-diffusing pigments soften the appearance of dark under-eye circles. The soft and creamy formula is long lasting for more than 4 hours. It’s quick drying, non-greasy, smudge-proof and conditioning for a perfect skin tone. A paint brush applicator that is easy to use and blend”.

I love this stuff and I have to agree with everything they say. It gives you such a fresh and ‘awake’ look. I purchased this a while ago and I’m not sure it they still stock this range (so there’s probably no point in sharing it with you), I’ll have to check.  It’s typical, you find a good product and then they discontinue it.

7.      The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer AkA ‘The Luminizer’.Meet Mary-Lou Manizer, a seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody’s eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow”.

This product is versatile, you can use it as a highlighter on your cheeks, brow and inner-eye corner. It can also be layered as an eye shadow or used all over as a shimmering finishing touch. I say it’s a champagne colour, a bit on the yellow side with such a pretty gold shimmer (although when blended it’s not over the top shimmery). It has a smooth and soft texture and is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I love this product and I must say the packaging is rather cute too.

8.      Swarovski Crystal Pink Cocktail Ring. I love this ring. It’s so shiny, I just can’t stop looking at it. I purchased it from Michael Hill Jewelers.

9.      Edward Beale Argan Oil Moroccan Gloss Leave-in Treatment. For all hair types offers instant hair cuticle smoothing, amazing gloss & silky feel whilst reviving the healthy look of your hair”

I really love Edward Beale products and I especially love the fact that they’re Aussie made. This product has an easy to use pump dispenser and the product comes out blue. I think it smells nice, it smells like the expensive products they use in salons! I apply one pump to the ends of my towel dried hair. When applied the texture feels lightweight and not greasy at all. It makes my hair feel soft and I find that my hair is less knotty throughout the day. Love it.

10.  Australis Makeup Finishing Spritz. Lightweight hydration-saver-mist provides an invisible shield over the face that sets make up and acts as an invisible barrier against temperature and environmental changes throughout the day. Formulated with Rose Water and Aloe Vera to help maintain moisture, leaving skin soft and supple”.
This lightweight spray applies evenly to your face. This is a product that I use all the time. It adds hydration without my skin turning oily and freshens my face, great to spray on hot days. It gets rid of any dry/flaky bits on your face and helps makeup to settle and last longer.

Do you use any pink products? What's your favourite?

  1. I don't think I have a lot of pinks... probably do though! Better not check :) haha. The eye brightener sounds great, very typical that once you fall in love with something you can no longer get it!
