A Candle and a Book

I am a huge fan of scented candles, they make a room smell so sweet and they’re so calming to instantly help create those relaxing moments. One of my favourite brands is Glasshouse.

One of my favourite scents. Fudge Brownie. Limited edition. Only available at Peter Alexander stores.
Coney Island. Burnt Sugar and Fig. Limited Edition. Love the blue glass.

Glasshouse is an Aussie brand that not only make candles but diffusers, hand and body creams and nourishing body bars are also available in their product range.
The candles are handmade and come in a beautiful, reusable glass jar which means minimal mess. The lid can be used to extinguish the flames, which means no smoke after putting the candle out.

The candles are triple scented, so they give off a strong fragrance. They can scent a whole house and the fragrance can linger for hours after burning.

They’re a large candle weighing 350g and burn for approximately 80 hours, they last forever so to me they are worth the money. The double wick ensures even burning.

The price can vary for different scents, usually $39.95 or $42.95. Glasshouse also make a smaller 60g candle with an RRP $14.95.
Available in a range of unique scents, you’re sure to find one that you love. You can find them at Myer, David Jones, Peter Alexander, various home ware stores or you can order online.

Light a candle and read a book. The French Cat by Rachael McKenna is one of my favourite books. It's full of beautiful photography of the French countryside and its felines. Accompanying the images are engaging quotes from famous French cat lovers and literary greats. If you’re a cat lover and a lover of anything French this book is for you. The images are stunning and capture the essence of the French cat perfectly.
